The Australian Rugby League Commission and the Prime Minister the Hon Anthony Albanese MP have today announced the Australian Men’s and Women’s Prime Minister’s XIII squads to take on PNG PM’s XIII teams at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby on Saturday, October 3.
The Men’s Prime Minister’s XIII features some of the rising talent from the 2026 NRL season, including Dragons twins Ryan and Toby Couchman and their fellow teammate Hamish Stewart, as well as established stars Rabbitohs second rower David Fifita and the Bulldogs’ Lachlan Galvin.
The Women’s Prime Minister’s XIII is once again an incredible showcase of young talent, including Sharks fullback Jada Taylor, Cowboys lock Bree Chester and Dragons enforcer Ahlivia Ingram.
Australian Rugby League Commission Executive Chairman Peter V’landys AM congratulated all players on their selection in these special teams.
“The players selected are some of the best players in the game,” Mr V’landys said.
“Not only do they have the opportunity to represent their country, they will be ambassadors for Australia and for Rugby League. They will change lives for the better.
“On behalf of the Commission, I congratulate them on their selection.”
The Men’s Prime Minister’s XIII side will be coached by premiership and Origin winner Ben Te’o, while the Women’s squad will be led by Jillaroos coach Jess Skinner.
Te’o said the Men’s squad is a mix of show-stopping players new to the representative space and established stars from the 2026 NRL competition.
“I could not be more excited and confident to be guiding this team of players. The squad is filled with incredible talent, some of them still early in their career but who are making a massive impact with their respective clubs.
“We’ve got some real strength in this side up front as well as fast and dynamic backs.”
Women’s Prime Minister’s XIII Coach Jess Skinner said her squad is packed with some amazing emerging stars who are hungry to experience International Rugby League over in Papua New Guinea.
“This is a really exciting group of players who have each had a fantastic 2026 NRLW season. The abundance of young talent balanced with our experienced leaders will ensure we put on an entertaining show.
“With the women’s international game going from strength to strength, the players can’t wait for the game.”
