An Indigenous All Stars representative, Banu made her NRLW debut in the Cowboys win over the Wests Tigers in Brisbane in Round 4, 2023.
The Tully Tigers junior made her International debut for the Papua New Guinea Orchids at the Women’s Rugby League World Cup in 2022.
Banu is contracted until the end of the 2026 season.
