After missing out on a Country representative jersey, Raiders five-eighth Terry Campese is aiming to be back on the field for Canberra when they take on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in round eight of the Telstra Premiership.
Forced to leave the field with a knee injury halfway through Friday’s clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, Campese will go under further scans tomorrow to determine the severity of the injury.
Initial examinations suggest Campese has either strained his medial ligament or suffered a torn meniscus, both relatively short-term injuries.
In other Raiders injury news, Shaun Fensom is recovering strongly from surgery on a slightly torn bicep and could be a surprise inclusion in the Raiders' round eight team.
