Sharks wingers Valentine Holmes and Sosaia Feki have produced a seven-try haul in Cronulla's 62-0 win over the Knights – the equal-biggest win in the club's history.
Holmes' quadruple of tries was the second-biggest try-scoring haul in Sharks' history and the first since Nathan Stapleton in 2014.
The Knights – hosting seven players who were 20 or younger – had no answers for the Sharks who ran 11 tries past Newcastle's fleeting defence to produce their seventh-straight win.
Before a ball had even been kicked the Knights were dealt a terrible card when winger Nathan Ross (hamstring) was ruled out in the warm-up, replaced by Cory Denniss.
After failing to complete their first two sets, the Sharks came into their own in the eighth minute when Holmes caught up with a Luke Lewis kick downfield just inches in from the dead ball line to score his first.
The Sharks' second try started and ended with Ben Barba. After the Sharks fullback put Jack Bird into space, the centre passed on to Chad Townsend who was quick to put boot to ball for Barba to score in the 17th minute.
Magic hands from Sharks skipper Paul Gallen put Holmes away for his second try in the 22nd minute, with his hat-trick completed just four minutes later when a cut-out ball from Barba allowed the 20-year-old to cross in the corner.
The Holmes show was rested late on in the first half when opposite winger Feki crashed past Dane Gagai's huge defensive efforts to score in the 34th minute – the Sharks posting a 28-0 half-time lead.
Holmes made it four from four in the 47th minute when Barba again found plenty of room to move amongst the flippant Knights defence before he sent it out wide for his winger to secure his quadruple.
Lewis was duly awarded for his performance with a try five minutes later when he leapt high above the Knights and handled a James Maloney bomb with relative ease.
Feki scored his second of the day in the 58th minute when a simple backline movement out wide came up trumps.
Lewis scored his second when quick hands and quick thinking from centre Jack Bird allowed the back-rower to score under the black dot.
Wade Graham scored his first try of the year in the 69th minute when he was left to palm off Gagai after receiving a magical unders ball from Michael Ennis.
Feki secured a hat-trick of his own in the 74th minute when Maloney threw an ugly cut-out ball his way to score in the corner, sealing the huge 62-point shutout.
