Naidoc Week

Our nation has a proud history of Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! and showing up.

From the frontier wars and our earliest resistance fighters to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities fighting for change today—we continue to show up. Now is our time. We cannot afford to lose momentum for change. We need to move beyond just acknowledgement, good intentions, empty words and promises, and hollow commitments.

NRL are proud to be leading the way in sports and continue to strive to do better. We are continuing to encouraging the Rugby League community to take 3 key actions to be part of the change.

For more information on this year’s NAIDOC theme please visit www.naidoc.org.au

1 - Learn the Land

Fans are encouraged to locate their local region and learn the Indigenous nation and people of the region. It’s a simple step in acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of local land and a further step in continuing a conversation about our nation’s identity and importance to First Nations people.

2 - Learn the History

Learn about our Indigenous history and important historical anniversaries that will occur in 2022.

3 - Support a Business

Learn about the local Indigenous Businesses and the work they are doing in the community. Find out how you can support and be involved.
