The NRL has today confirmed that the match between the Brisbane Broncos and the Canterbury Bulldogs will go ahead as scheduled at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow night.<br><br>The confirmation follows discussions with the Queensland and NSW Health Authorities who have said that despite Broncos fullback Karmichael Hunt testing positive to the H1N1 virus that match can proceed.<br><br>Karmichael has been treated with Tamiflu since Tuesday and depending on a medical assessment of his condition may still be able to take part in the match.<br><br>The NRL has today confirmed with both the Queensland and NSW Health Authorities that all other Broncos players will be able to take part in Friday night’s match provided they display no symptoms.<br><br>“The NRL’s Chief Medical officer, Dr Ron Muratore, has confirmed that the players will have been in isolation and on Tamiflu for a sufficient period to allow them to take part in the match tomorrow night,” the NRL Chief Operating Officer, Mr Graham Annesley, said today.<br><br>“Health Authorities have reiterated that one of effects of this week’s measures has been to take every step to ensure that the players would be available.<br><br>“Our advice is that the match can go ahead but that the players should remain in isolation until that point.<br><br>“Karmichael’s condition and the possibility of him still being contagious is a matter for club medical staff in consultation with the health authorities. We will of course monitor this closely.<br><br>“We accept that this has been a major disruption to the Broncos preparation but illness and injury can affect any preparation at times.<br><br>“The disruptions around rescheduling the match would also be significant to the preparation of the other team, to the venue, to the fans, government infrastructure, the sponsors and the broadcasters.<br><br>“We will continue to work closely with club doctors and health authorities to manage what has been declared as a major public health issue.”<br> <br> <a href="http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=BRONIND09" target="_blank"><strong>Tickets to the match are still available - Purchase today from Ticketek</strong></a> <br>
