The WOW Brisbane Broncos under-20s continue their march up the National Youth Competition ladder after a convincing Toyota Cup victory at Cronulla tonight.

Despite being down on trips because of the representative commitments and the elevation of Ben Hunt and Dale Copley to the NRL, the young Broncos did it well for a 34-18 victory over the Sharks.

Sharks hooker Lancen Joudo got his side back within striking distance when he scored under the posts just six minutes into the second half.

Ben Orcher kicked the conversion and the Broncos led 24-12.

The Broncos had to deal with some pressure for the next 10 minutes, but five-eighth Rhys Matsen gapped them in the 60th minute and put Todd Murphy over for a try.

Corey Norman missed the conversion, but the Broncos looked safe bets at 28-12.
