Tickets sales to the Melbourne Storm’s Preliminary Final at Etihad Stadium go on sale to the general public at 9am this morning after strong sales during today’s Members’ priority pre-sale window yesterday

Interest in next Saturday night’s Preliminary Final is quickly gaining momentum which is understandable given the history between the Melbourne Storm and their potential combatants, the Brisbane Broncos or St George-Illawarra Dragons.

Storm CEO Brian Waldron is expecting ticket sales for next week’s game to be very strong.

“We have a wonderful history with both the Broncos and Dragons and I’ve got no doubt the Melbourne sport’s loving public will get right behind the Storm next Saturday night,” said Waldron.

“The members have shown today they are right behind their team by purchasing tickets in large numbers, and I suspect the general public will show the same support once their ticket purchasing window opens.”

At the conclusion of the priority pre-sale window yesterday, thousands of Storm members had taken up an allocation at Etihad Stadium.

“As always our fans have come out in large numbers to support us which is really great to see,” said Storm captain Cameron Smith.

“Our members are the best in the NRL with their passion and loyalty, and we’re as proud of them as they are of us.

“Given Melbourne is a sport’s mad city, I expect once tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow they will be in high demand as well.”

Because tickets are going on sale to the general public before the Storm’s opponent is known, prime seats at Etihad Stadium have been reserved for members of the opposing team.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster on 136 100, online at www.ticketmaster.com.au, or at any Ticketmaster outlet.
