Saturday night’s Charity Shield is not the only prize up for grabs as the Rabbitohs and Dragons strive to win $50,000 for being the first NSW club to boast 10,000 Ticketed Members.
The NRL’s ‘Race To 10,000’ has fuelled a membership drive that will see more than 100,000 fans enlist as NRL Club Ticketed Members in 2010.
Both the Dragons and Rabbitohs have already surpassed 9,000 Ticketed Members for the 2010 season and, with the Bulldogs and Eels making late charges, Saturday night’s annual pre-season clash looms as a key opportunity for both clubs to continue the membership drive.
As the first two clubs to pass the 9,000 mark, the number of Ticketed Members for both the Dragons and Rabbitohs for 2010 will now go under wraps as part of the guidelines established among participating clubs at the start of the competition.
The race for the biggest percentage increase in Ticketed Memberships across the NRL is also hotting up with the Bulldogs, Eels, Wests Tigers and Sharks among the front-runners.
The winner of the ‘Race To 10,000’ will be announced once a club surpasses the mark while the winner of the biggest percentage increase in Ticketed Memberships will receive $10,000 and be announced after Round 5 of the Telstra Premiership.
