Cronulla player Reece Williams has undergone surgery at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney after a blood clot was detected on his spine.<br>&nbsp;<br>Reece was originally admitted to hospital after suffering a concussion while playing for the Sharks against Shellharbour last Sunday afternoon.<br>&nbsp;<br>The operation took place on Wednesday night and has proved to be a success. <br>&nbsp;<br>Reece will be sidelined indefinitely from football but, importantly, it is his intention to make a return once he regains full health.<br>&nbsp;<br>Sharks coach Ricky Stuart visited Reece today and said he was in good spirits.<br>&nbsp;<br>“Reece is a tremendous person and an extremely talented player,” Stuart said.<br>&nbsp;<br>“Everyone in rugby league wishes him a speedy recovery. Regaining his health is his number one priority and the Sharks will support him all the way.”<br><br>The club has no further comment to make at this time, but it’s the club’s intention to keep the media informed of his progress where appropriate.
