Tonight’s AAMI Country-City match has sold out.

A 7,000-strong capacity crowd will turn out at Port Macquarie’s Regional Sports Stadium, with final remaining tickets for the match sold out this afternoon.

“It’s fantastic to see Rugby League is well and truly alive in regional Australia,” Country coach, Laurie Daley, said.

“I’m looking forward to seeing a huge crowd at the stadium tonight, as I’m sure all the boys are too.”

Tonight’s AAMI Country-City match will feature two curtain-raisers; Central Hunter Power v. Northern Rivers at 3:30pm and the CRL Regional Under 18s Final between Central Hunter Power and Newcastle Rebels at 5:30pm. The main game will kick off at 7:30pm.

“The support from the Port Macquarie community has been extraordinary this week and it’s great to hear the game is sold out,” City coach, John Cartwright, said.

“Hopefully we can put on a good show for the crowd and thank them for getting behind tonight’s game.”

With the match declared a sell-out, fans that have not yet secured tickets are reminded tickets will no longer be available at the ground or at the Panthers Club in Port Macquarie.

The AAMI County-City match will be broadcast on Channel Nine in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne at 9:45pm, immediately following the VB Test telecast (which commences at 7:30pm).
