South Sydney enforcer Sam Burgess has been hit with a Grade 2 Contrary Conduct charge following an alleged grapple tackle on Bulldogs five-eighth Ben Barba in Friday night's clash at ANZ Stadium.<br><br>Burgess will receive a one-match ban should he plead guilty to the charge, or could risk a possible two-match ban should he unsuccessfully challenge.<br><br>The charge is a massive blow for the ninth-placed Rabbitohs who are already without key forwards Luke Stuart, Michael Crocker and Dave Taylor as they head into their crucial clash against the Wests Tigers on Saturday night.<br><br>Meanwhile, Bulldogs pivot Ben Roberts will avoid suspension despite copping a Grade 1 High Tackle charge and Panthers forward Sam McKendry will also be cleared to play after receiving a Grade 1 Tripping charge.
