The 2010 season has produced some breathtaking tries, and trying to pick the best is like trying to figure out which of your children you love the most.

So... we'll leave the tough call to you - the fans.

Having started on Monday, we are posting five nominations for the Game Analyser 'Try of the Year' every day this week. Each nomination has been submitted by our good pals at Big League magazine.

Here's how you vote. Watch each try on our BWS Game Analyser. If you like the try, then click on the 'Like on Facebook' link to vote. This will take you to our Facebook page. When you're there, simply 'Like' the try you wish to vote for. The try with the most fan 'Likes' at the end of the week wins (calculated on Monday morning).

What's in it for you, you say? OK. We'll pick a random Facebook participant when the 'Likes' are tallied on Monday morning. That lucky fan will pocket four (4) tickets to a Sydney-based Premliminary Final. So without further ado, here's our second nomination.

Nomination No.2
Akuila Uate (Newcastle Knights) – Round 10

CLICK HERE to watch Uate's try now.

CLICK HERE to 'LIKE' this try on Facebook now.

There are about three minutes until half time, and in a move that clearly surprised the Roosters, Cory Paterson takes a short kick-off following a try to Braith Anasta on the other side of the field to see what his team can do before the first 40 minutes of play wraps up.

Paterson’s kick is clearly meant to single out the powerful and fast Akuila Uate, who catches the ball in mid-air on the 20 metre line, bypassing the unaware Roosters combination of Aiden Guerra and Ben Jones.

With Uate running the ball and the Roosters having to move fast from the positions they took for the expected kick-off, Uate easily brushes past fullback Anthony Minichiello and runs towards to try line.

But his work isn’t over, with players to beat before he finds the stripe. Jason Ryles runs back to help out, with Phil Graham coming off the wing and Mitchell Pearce making a last ditch effort to stop Uate as he drives towards the try line.

The three Roosters are hanging off for dear life but it’s all too late – Uate, with the ball in his right hand, stretches long enough to get the ball over the line and pick up a valued four pointer before the whistle.

Quote: “Gidsy (Kurt Gidley) told me to come in and try to get the short kick off. I sprinted, caught it and saw the try line right in front of me. It wasn't planned but we pulled it off!”

CLICK HERE to watch Uate's try now.

CLICK HERE to 'LIKE' this try on Facebook now.

Missed our first nomination? Click here to see Nathan Gardner's solo effort.
