Junior Kangaroos team named The Board of the Australian Rugby League today announced that the following players have been selected for the ARL Junior Kangaroos to play a two-match series against the Junior Kiwis.

All of these players were selected from the previously announced train-on squad with the exception of the South Sydney’s Josh Mansour.

The final squad list is: Gerard Beale, Dane Gagai, Corey Norman, Tariq Sims (Brisbane Broncos); Mark Appleton, Mark Nicholls, Sam Williams (Canberra Raiders); Josh Jackson, Aidan Sezer (Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs); Kyle O'Donnell, Matthew Wright (Cronulla Sharks); Ryan James (Gold Coast Titans); James Cunningham, Micheal Oldfield (Manly Sea Eagles); Justin O'Neill (Melbourne Storm); Evrett Vaurasi (Penrith Panthers); Josh Mansour (South Sydney Rabbitohs); Cameron King (St George Illawarra Dragons); Ben Jones (Sydney Roosters).

PLEASE NOTE: Original squad members William Hopoate (Manly Sea Eagles) and Chris Faust (North Queensland Cowboys) were not considered for selection due to injury.

The side will be coached by Canberra Raiders Toyota Cup coach David Hamilton.

“There is an abundance of talent to choose from at this level, and after much deliberation at the selection table I feel we settled on a side that is capable of doing the Australian jersey proud,” Hamilton said.

“There is no doubt the Kiwi side will present us with a tough challenge and, considering both matches will be played in front of some huge crowds prior to Four Nations games in Wellington and Rotorua respectively, it will provide some of our guys with an amazing opportunity to shine on the international stage.”

The ARL Junior Kangaroos will be involved in a two-game series versus the New Zealand Junior Kiwis in New Zealand in late October 2010.

Game 1 – Saturday 23rd October 2010 in Wellington

Game 2 – Saturday 30th October 2010 in Rotorua.
