A calendar featuring 13 current and former NRL stars transformed by traditional ornaments and body art into Pacific warriors was launched this week ahead of this weekend's 2010 Four Nations tournament at Parramatta Stadium.<br /><br><br><br />The calendar was unveiled at a dinner for the Australian, Papua New Guinea, Tongan and Samoan teams at the Waterview Convention Centre at Sydney Olympic Park this week to preview the fierce rivalry in store at this Sunday’s Australia v PNG Four Nations clash and Tonga v Samoa curtain-raiser.<br /><br><br><br />The four teams joined more than 300 people from Sydney’s business, rugby league and Pacific Islands communities to celebrate the Pacific Islands’ passion for rugby league.<br /><br><br><br />The calendar, compiled by international photographer Greg Semu, was produced in conjunction with the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Liverpool City Council and follows the acclaimed Body Pacifica exhibition and festival earlier this year.<br /><br><br><br />It features some of rugby league’s current and former stars with South Pacific and Maori heritage including Jarryd Hayne, Fuifui Moimoi, Paul Aiton, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Roy Asotasi, Petero Civoniceva and Nigel Vagana.<br /><br><br><br />The calendar is available for sale ($19.95) at the weekend festival and all proceeds from sales will be donated to NRL Pacific Islands Community programs and the Body Pacifica program for 2011-12.<br />
