The Newcastle Knights today released the final 3,500 reserved seats for the opening round game against St George Illawarra Dragons at Hunter Stadium on Thursday March 1 to kick off the NRL 2012 season.
There are currently less than 8,000 tickets still available for purchase for the game, including 3,500 which are reserved seats.
With the strong demand it is advised anyone intending on purchasing a ticket to the Round 1 blockbuster should pre-purchase through PROticket to avoid potential queues on the night.
“We are looking forward to Round 1 at Hunter Stadium next Thursday night and the opportunity to open the season in front of our Members and supporters,” Knights CEO Matthew Gidley said.
“We encourage all our Members and supporters to get along and help the team get their 2012 season off to a positive start.”
Meanwhile the Newcastle Knights remain in the lead in the NRL Membership Premiership Race with 1116 new Members since the race started on February 4.
The Rabbitohs are close behind on 863 Members, followed by the Broncos (981 Members) and Dragons (875 Members). The race ends this Friday.
With 15,568 Members now on board, the Knights continue to chase their 20,000 Member target.
