As we count down the days to this weekend’s Men of League Heritage Round clash between the Wests Tigers and the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Allianz Stadium, Rugby League Films has unearthed footage of the very Grand Final that will be commemorated this weekend, the 1952 Premiership.

The fourth, and final premiership won by the Western Suburbs, the 1952 Final saw the Magpies score six tries to two in front of over 40,000 people at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Western Suburbs Grand Final victory, the Wests Tigers will wear a replica of their 1952 strip this Sunday at Allianz.
