The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles’ Round 21 blockbuster against the New Zealand Warriors will be played at Patersons Stadium in Perth on Saturday July 28.
The all-important clash between last year's grand finalists has been shifted from Brookvale Oval to give both clubs an opportunity to support rugby league in Western Australia, broaden the Sea Eagles’ fan and membership base and enhance the club’s financial position.
“We have a fan base in Perth, as do the Warriors, and this is a great opportunity for us to attract new members and add to our corporate partner network," said Chief Operating Officer, David Perry.
“We know there's a big appetite for rugby league in Western Australia and Patersons Stadium is an impressive venue so we'll be expecting a big crowd."
“While we’re excited about this unique opportunity for the club, clearly our preference is still to play as many home games at Brookvale Oval as financially possible.”
Patersons Stadium General Manager Gavin Taylor said the venue was looking forward to hosting the game.
“This is an exciting event for Patersons Stadium and a great opportunity for WA rugby league fans,” Mr Taylor said.
“We will cater for a wide audience with a range of general admission tickets and corporate packages available for the game.”
Kickoff is at 530pm (local time) on Saturday, July 28 with tickets on sale June 11 via Ticketmaster.
As part of this unique event, the Sea Eagles are offering fans in Western Australia an exclusive WA Wings membership package which can be secured online here
