The Brisbane Broncos under 20’s have been left stranded on six competition points after a 34 – 10 loss at the hands of NYC Premiers, the Warriors.

Broncos forwards matched the intensity of the sizable Warriors pack in the opening exchanges before errors gave the home side easy possession.

Prop Daniel Alvaro (118 metres, 14 runs) reveled in the competition with his opposition amassing 44 tackles to be only behind captain Benn Malley (14 metres, 2 runs) with 45.

Caleb Timu (110 metres, 12 runs) continued his impressive form run on the edges with centre Matt Berwick (161 metres, 15 runs) feeding off his outside in attack as well as coming up with some big plays in defence.

Promoted second-rower Brandon Lee (60 metres, 8 runs) enjoyed the starting role turning out a strong performance to put pressure on the remaining Broncos forwards stocks.

Broncos coach Kurt Richards will now turn his attention to the Sea Eagles on Friday night in Brisbane who sit in 15th place.
