With a match against the Storm awaiting the winner, both Manly and North Queensland will be desperate to keep their season alive when the face off at Allianz Stadium.
Tonight on NRL Daily, hosts John Gibbs and Trent Barrett preview the elimination final between the Sea Eagles and the Cowboys and give their prediction on how the game will be won.
“This game is going to come down to the forwards battle,” says Gibbs. “Despite all the flashy stars that are littered across both backlines it’s in the forwards where the game will be won.
“If Matt Scott and James Tamou do what they did last week, then Manly are no hope.”
While Gibbs is anticipating a low-scoring match with the forward grinding it out up front, Barrett sees the key for Manly in their halves.
“The Sea Eagles halves really need to step up this week,” says Barrett. “Last week when Jamie Lyon went off the field the team lacked leadership and I think it’s up to Cherry-Evans and Foran to take control.”
