A sell-out crowd of more than 82,000 Rugby League fans will be the first to hear the award-winning Jessica Mauboy’s new single live as she performs at the 2013 Holden State of Origin decider at ANZ Stadium next week.

Mauboy, who is the voice of the 2013 Telstra Premiership season, today announced that she will launch ‘To The End Of The Earth’ – the first single from her forthcoming third studio album due for release later this year – prior to kick-off next Wednesday.

Earlier this year, Mauboy launched the NRL’s 2013 season with the game’s stunning new anthem 'Something's Got a Hold On Me’.

She is scheduled to perform after 7.40pm, with the much-anticipated clash between the NSW VB Blues and QLD XXXX Maroons kicking off at 8.10pm following the curtain-raiser between the VB NSW Cup representative Squad and XXXX QLD Maroons. Gates open at 5.30pm.

Mauboy’s performance will cap a spectacular match-day experience for fans who are invited to be part of the biggest ever pre-game Origin party for supporters of both teams starting late afternoon. Thirty cafes, bars and restaurants will be open in Sydney Olympic Park, all themed in blue.

The NSW Government’s strategic partnership with the NRL, through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, has delivered seven State of Origin matches over the next five years for Sydney and NSW.

Minister for Tourism and Major Events, George Souris, said, “Between 2013 and 2017, the State of Origin games will contribute over $65 million to the NSW economy, including visitor spend by overseas, interstate and intrastate visitors.”
