Michael Crocker says South Sydney will regroup after last weekend's loss.

Injured South Sydney co-captain Michael Crocker believes the Rabbitohs loss to minor premiers the Roosters on Friday night won't affect the club's finals campaign.

In a match to decide top spot on the ladder, the Rabbitohs were comprehensively outplayed, going down 24-12, but Crocker told SportsFan's Clubhouse that his team would learn from the loss.

"It is a totally new competition now," Crocker said. "It doesn't matter what we have done in the past, as long as we get our game right, prepare right and turn up on Friday ready to play."
