Promising youngster Kodi Nikorima will line up at five-eighth in the Brisbane Broncos' final trial match ahead of the 2014 NRL season, while Josh Hoffman will play fullback in the absence of Ben Barba.
Barba picked up a minor foot injury at the Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines last weekend but the injury isn't expected to keep him out of the Broncos' Round 1 meeting with his former club the Bulldogs.
However his absence means fans are still guessing over how Barba and Hoffman will fit into the side, and whether Barba could potentially play in the halves. The performance of Nikorima against the Warriors on Sunday could well factor into coach Anthony Griffin's decision making.
One of the other contenders for the halves role, Zac Strasser, has been named in jersey 20 on an eight-man bench, while Jharal Yow-Yeh, on his comeback from a horror ankle injury, has been named in jersey 21.
