Rugby League will celebrate Harmony Day in western Sydney on Saturday (22 March) before the Panthers v Bulldogs match at Sportingbet Stadium.
The festival will combine footy and culture for all family members at Jamison Park, Penrith from 10am–2.30pm.
NRL Ambassador Joe Galuvao will be joined by Petero Civoniceva, Hazem El Masri and Alan Tongue along with Panthers players in a great family day out.
Activities include the annual Family Come and Try clinic, activities for kids, face painting, Multicultural food stalls, merchandise and multicultural performances.
Also on show will be a Wheelchair Rugby League exhibition match and Come and Try day, an Intellectual Disabilities exhibition game and Touch Football matches.
“What a great way for the family to spend a day out before coming to Saturday night’s match at Sportingbet Stadium,” NRL Ambassador Joe Galuvao said.
“The NRL has a very strong commitment to Rugby League in western Sydney and we are especially excited to be working with the Panthers on this project.”
“The Panthers also have $50 tickets for the game for families available online which makes for a really good day out.”
Harmony Day coincides with the United Nations International Day of the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The event has also been well supported by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, the Panthers, Penrith City Council, the NRL and One Community.
