Cowboys enforcer Tariq Sims will sit on the sidelines for the next two weeks, including this Saturday's clash with the Storm in Townsville, after lodging an early guilty plea on a dangerous throw charge resulting from an incident in North Queensland's loss to the Raiders on Sunday.

Sims' suspension was a consequence of his lifting tackle on the Raiders' Shaun Fensom in the 36th minute of the clash in the nation's capital.

Meanwhile Broncos' back-rower Todd Lowrie is free to play against the Sea Eagles at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday after entering an early guilty plea on his high tackle charge, which came after a clumsy hit on Wests Tigers back-rower Bodene Thompson during Brisbane's close-fought win in Campbelltown.
