The Bulldogs have moved to shore up their outside backs stocks with confirmation they have signed promising Eels centre Jacob Loko, effective immediately.

Loko has been billed as one of the games most exciting prospects since debuting as a 19-year-old for the Eels in 2011, but a series of knee injuries have limited him to just 23 games over the past three years.

The Campbelltown City junior will continue his rehabilitation from the knee injury that has sidelined him since the start of the season, and Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle is confident a fresh start at the Dogs will see Loko back at his best sometime in the near future.

“It’s been well documented the troubles Jacob has had with injury but we think that with a change in his approach to rehabilitation we could see the best from here in the blue and white,” Castle said.

“We have seen how much of a damaging player he is when he burst on to the scene and we hope he can get back to that form here at Belmore.”
