Stom lock Dale Finucane will challenge his dangerous contact charge at the judiciary on Wednesday night, while Raiders winger Jeremy Hawkins has accepted a one-match ban for a dangerous throw.

Eight players were charged by the match review committee from Round 2, but five have avoided suspensions with early guilty pleas, while Dragons hooker Heath L'Estrange can do the same after being charged with a grade on dangerous throw on Monday night.

Both Finucane and Hawkins had loading from prior non-similar offences for their charges, meaning they would still miss a game each each with an early plea.

Newcastle forward Beau Scott (grade 1 dangerous contact - head/neck), Cronulla's Michael Ennis (contrary conduct - contact with match official), Manly's Tom Symonds (dangerous contact - head/neck), and Canberra pair Jarrad Kennedy (dangerous throw) and Luke Bateman (dangerous contact) all accepted early pleas, while L'Estrange has until midday Wednesday to enter a plea.
