Cowboys youngster Coen Hess.

One of the NYC's most exciting prospects Coen Hess has re-signed with the North Queensland Cowboys for another three seasons.

The 18 year-old extended his contract with the Townsville club until the end of the 2018 season.

The 112 kg second-rower was part of the Townsville Stingers under 18-side who won the National 18s competition last year. He scored two tries against the Roosters in the final and was selected for the Queensland under-18s squad.

"I'm really excited to stay here and I wanted to show some loyalty to the Cowboys," Hess said.

"I feel really comfortable in Townsville. I feel my football is thriving under the great staff at the Cowboys and I love playing with the boys here and look forward to some great results this season."
