With their dominant right edge firing on all cylinders, the Sydney Roosters clinched their fourth consecutive victory with a commanding 24-4 win over the Panthers at the foot of the mountains.
A double to winger Shaun Kenny-Dowall and strong performances from back-rower Mitchell Aubusson and centre Blake Ferguson stole the show in a game otherwise riddled with ill-discipline, as the Panthers' recent good form deserted them.
After a dour first half which bred 13 errors and eight penalties, the Roosters maintained a 6-0 lead thanks to a James Maloney penalty goal in the 15th minute and Kenny-Dowall's first try of the match five minutes later.
The Roosters kicked on in the second half after Maloney sent a cross-field kick in Ferguson's direction, only for the centre to bat it back for Aubusson who passed it on for Kenny-Dowall to score his second of the game in the 53rd minute. A penalty goal from Maloney four minutes later extended their advantage to 14.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck scored his fifth try of the season in the 59th minute, getting a handle on an Aubusson offload before bullocking his way past the flimsy defence of Jamie Soward and Waqa Blake.
Panthers utility Lewis Brown kept his side in the hunt with 14 minutes remaining, coming up with the goods off an unders ball from centre Dean Whare. With plenty of Roosters in front of him, Brown smashed his way past four defenders to cross for his first try of season 2015.
While Ferguson was denied a try in the 71st, it wasn't be an issue once Jared Waerea-Hargreaves powered his way over in the final five minutes to help push the Roosters 20 in front.
Making matters worse for the Panthers, David Simmons and Nigel Plum failed to return after suffering a lower back injury and a concussion respectively.
A game-ending leg complaint to Roosters back-rower Sio Siua Taukeiaho was the only lowlight for the Tricolours in an otherwise positive afternoon.
