Matthew White becomes just the 11th player to play 100 NRL games for the Gold Coast Titans when he runs out against the Dragons on Sunday.

The Gold Coast Titans have released front-rower Matthew White from the final year of his contract to join the Melbourne Storm in 2016.

The popular prop from Inverell has played 123 games for the Titans, including 13 this season, after joining from the Newcastle Knights in 2009.

The 31-year-old will run out for the last time before the Gold Coast home crowd against St George Illawarra Dragons this Sunday, along with fellow prop Nate Myles and several other players.

"Matt has been a tremendous club man at the Titans for seven seasons and played over 120 first grade games who always gives 100 per cent," said Titans coach Neil Henry.

"There was an opportunity for him to take on a fresh challenge at the Storm, who have been consistently in the finals and I only wish him every success."
