Tallis drags Brett Hodgson

You could be forgiven for thinking that Gorden Tallis was a hammer thrower in a previous life following the 2002 series decider. Brett Hodgson won't forget the moment when he tried to get outside the 'Raging Bull'. The Queensland second-rower grabbed the diminutive Hodgson's collar and lassoed him for more than 10 metres to drag him over the sideline.

Cronk's series-winning field goal

With the 2012 series on the line after Queensland and NSW had traded wins on home turf in Games One and Two, tries to Darius Boyd, Johnathan Thurston and Justin Hodges in the space of just 16 minutes had the Maroons looking home and hosed for a record seventh consecutive series win when they led 16-8 at the break. But upon through second-half four-pointers from Brett Stewart and Josh Morris the Blues doggedly dragged their way back into the contest, with a clutch sideline conversion from Todd Carney levelling the scores at 20-all with 10 minutes remaining. As the clock wound down and with extra time looking increasingly likely, Cooper Cronk sent over 52,000 raucous Maroons fans into delirium when he slotted a booming 40-metre field goal six minutes from full-time to seal the win and break the hearts of Blues fans once again.
