NRL referees boss Tony Archer says he was pleased with State of Origin I officials Gerard Sutton and Ben Cummins and will monitor the form of all referees ahead of Origin II at Suncorp Stadium on July 22.
Speaking in his weekly Referee Review segment on NRL.com, Archer explains the Josh Morris no-try ruling and the Justin O'Neill knock-on decision that was also reversed by the Bunker.
"Obviously on the field there was a live decision of 'Try'," Archer said of Morris's no-try.
"For the Bunker to overturn a decision they need sufficient evidence.
"They were able to determine that the ball was never grounded in the in-goal. It was short of the goal line, and the ball was off the ground and there was a hand underneath the ball.
"Therefore they had sufficient evidence to overturn it, and it was a 'no-try'."
Archer says the referees for Holden State of Origin Game Two will be chosen after Round 14 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
