Cowboys fullback Lachlan Coote will be pivotal for his side in Round 12.

Cowboys fullback Lachlan Coote will be free to face the Bulldogs in Round 20 after he was found not guilty at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.

Coote was facing a one-match ban for making contact with referee Grant Atkins in his side's loss to the Raiders in Round 18, and with the Cowboys having the bye in Round 19, would have missed his side's clash with Canterbury-Bankstown if his challenge was unsuccessful.

Earlier in the week Coote's teammate Kyle Feldt entered an early guilty plea after being cited for a grade three shoulder charge for his shot on Jarrod Croker and will miss his side's next three matches as a result.
