It's head-to-head grand final or preliminary final week for thousands of NRL Fantasy leagues, so for those teams still alive every decision could make the difference between defeat and glory.

Here are the Lone Scout's last-minute tips for Round 25.

Hey Scout, was wondering who's best for captain choice this week? I have Mannering, Thompson, JDB, James, Graham & Walker. Walker's an interesting option because he scored 81 last week plus the Rabbitohs are playing the Knights (with tackle breaks, line breaks, try assists and tries on offer).
From Peter Li

Yes Walker could go big against Newcastle but it's still risky to go with a back as Fantasy captain. A couple of weeks ago the Panthers thrashed the Knights and both halves Cleary and Cartwright still scored poorly because the outside backs did the damage.

I'd prefer going with Simon Mannering or Jack de Belin as your captain if you haven't got Cameron Smith, or Ryan James who's less consistent but can go massive.

I'm looking to trade up from Jesse Bromwich considering his recent 44 average. Can switch him for a front-rower or second-rower and can afford anyone.
From Tristan Birkinshaw

On current form your best bets are Jack de Belin, Andrew Fifita, Ryan James, Simon Mannering, Boyd Cordner, James Graham and Sam Burgess, roughly in that order.

Is Whitehead worth trading for Gallen? Considering that the Sharks play after the Raiders this week and that he has been pulling out before to for two weeks straight I could be left with an emergency. But is the risk worth knowing the sharks need to revive their season?
From Damian Banks

I'm pretty certain Gallen will play. He wanted to play last week and as you say it's just about must-win time for them. I'd keep Gallen.

I didn't have to trade Teddy last week, but I'm in the finals this week – who's the best option out of Walker, Croker and Hayne?
From Caolan Cullinane

Cody Walker, followed by Jarrod Croker.
