Cronulla's 15-game winning run finally came to an end at the hands of a brave Titans outfit following their memorable draw. The Bulldogs only just recovered from their huge loss to the Cowboys the weekend prior by pipping the Dragons in a dour affair. The Warriors finally found some luck in golden point games – their third-week straight in extra time – by beating the Panthers. The Raiders smashed the Rabbitohs by 50 points while the Storm did enough to overcome a Johnathan Thurston-less Cowboys. The Broncos finals fortunes were thrown into disarray when the cellar-dwelling Roosters racked up an impressive victory past Wayne Bennett's men.
