The North Queensland Cowboys have named a full strength squad ahead of their Round 2 NRL Telstra Premiership clash with Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The 21-man squad includes winger Antonio Winterstein who missed last week's golden point thriller against the Raiders with an ankle injury sustained two weeks earlier, but is expected to play against the Broncos.‌

Cowboys coach Paul Green is confident in Winterstein's fitness, after seeing him train on Tuesday morning.

"I'm pretty confident he'll be right to play, he was touch and go. As long as he gets through this week alright he should be right to play."

‌Green is also aware of how important having Winterstein on the wing is ahead of what most are expecting to be a tight game against the Broncos on Friday, given the recent history between the sides.

"Having his experience will be good, it should be a pretty big occasion down there… expecting a big crowd and having that experience there with Antonio will be good," Green said.

In the last four games between the Cowboys and Broncos (which includes the 2015 grand final) the difference between the teams has been a field goal in the 75th minute, two golden point field goals and a golden point try. The Cowboys have taken home the bragging rights on three of those four occasions, but none of them have been at Suncorp Stadium.

Interchange: Ben Hampton, John Asiata, Coen Hess, Patrick Kaufusi. Reserves: Shaun Fensom, Gideon Gela-Mosby, Javid Bowen, Kalyn Ponga.
