The 16 errors from Melbourne in their 10-8 upset loss to Wests Tigers on Saturday night was their most in a game since 2013.

The usually slick Storm were very un-Melbourne-like; their 16 errors included a mixed bag of poor passes not hitting their mark, cold drops in the ruck and being bundled into touch on the flanks.

Not since a pulsating 90-minute 10-all golden point draw against rivals Manly in 2013 – in which the Storm finished with 18 errors – have Craig Bellamy's men had so many mistakes in a game.

Yesterday's Stat Attack highlighted the record 18 penalties against the Tigers but the lopsided 16-9 error count led to an equally lopsided possession rate with the Storm holding just 36% of the ball.
