Moments before kick-off Sio Siua Taukeiaho was ruled out with injury. Jared Waerea-Heagreaves was moved into the starting side with Nat Butcher the new man on the bench. Kurt Baptiste was dropped from the bench an hour before kick-off. The Roosters are unchanged following their big win over Cronulla last week. Mitchell Cornish and Frank-Paul Nuuausala were the two players dropped from the bench 24 hours out from kick-off.

Hymel Hunt and Campbell Graham were the two players dropped from the squad an hour out from kick-off. Jason Clark will start at lock after Cameron Murray was ruled out with a hamstring injury. The Rabbitohs welcome back winger Richie Kennar after a two-week absence due to a hamstring injury, pushing Dane Gagai back to centre and Hymel Hunt to the reserves. Murray and Robbie Farah were the two players dropped from the bench 24 hours before the start of the match.

 

Melbourne Storm v Newcastle Knights, 6pm Friday at AAMI Park

Craig Bellamy has lost patience with under-performing half Brodie Croft, who has been dropped in favour of Ryley Jacks. Kenny Bromwich has been moved to the bench, with Tim Glasby the new starting lock.

The Knights have stuck with the original 17-man side named on Tuesday. Herman Ese'ese moves from prop to lock for the suspended Mitch Barnett and Daniel Saifiti from bench to prop. Jack Cogger and Cory Denniss were the two men dropped from the bench 24 hours out from kick-off.

The unbeaten Dragons are 1-17, with Zac Lomax and Jacob Host dropped an hour before kick-off. The only change to the team that beat Souths last week is Hame Sele taking Luciano Leilua's place on the interchange bench.

The Sharks have stuck with their original 17-man team named on Tuesday. Josh Dugan (groin) returns at centre, with Matt Moylan holding onto the fullback role and Trent Hodkinson still at five-eighth. Edrick Lee returns on the wing with Sosaia Feki out. Ramien and Jack Williams were omitted an hour before kick-off.

 

New Zealand Warriors v Brisbane Broncos, 1pm local (3pm AEST) Saturday at Mt Smart Stadium

The unbeaten Warriors have made a slight alteration to the team that beat the Cowboys, with Sam Lisone to start at prop in place of Bunty Afoa. Mason Lino and Sam Cook were omitted from the bench on Friday, while Chris Satae and Isaiah Papali'i were cut from the 19-man squad an hour before kick-off.

Broncos: Broncos and Queensland Maroons star Matt Gillett is facing several months on the sidelines with a fractured neck. Gillett has been replaced by Korbin Sims in the back-row, while Jack Bird has shifted from the centres to halfback to cover the loss of Kodi Nikorima (leg). Alex Glenn (shoulder) returns, Tom Opacic will start at centre, while Sam Tagataese has been named on the interchange bench. Sam Thaiday has been given the 11th-hour nod to start with Tevita Pangai jnr moved to the bench.

 

North Queensland Cowboys v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, 5.30pm Saturday at 1300SMILES Stadium

The Bulldogs will run out as named, 1-17, after captain Josh Jackson succesfully had his high tackle charge down-graded at the judiciary on Tuesday.

The Raiders are 1-17, with fullback Jack Wighton returning after missing last week's game following the birth of his second child, while Nick Cotric reverts to the wing in place of Michael Oldfield. Blake Austin has been recalled in the halves for Sam Williams (knee) with Aidan Sezer shifting to the No.7 jersey. Josh Papalii has earned a reprieve to the interchange bench after one week out, replacing Liam Knight.

The Eels are 1-17 and finally welcome back fullback Clint Gutherson after an ACL reconstruction last year. Will Smith moves to the reserves, while Bevan French returns on the wing in place of Josh Hoffman and George Jennings holds his spot. Rugged lock Nathan Brown (ankle) is out, replaced by Tepai Moeroa. Peni Terepo starts at prop with Daniel Alvaro moving to the bench. 

 

Penrith Panthers v Gold Coast Titans, 2pm Sunday at Panthers Stadium

Isaah Yeo shifts from back row to centre to cover Waqa Blake (ankle), with Corey Harawira-Naera starting and Kaide Ellis onto the bench. Ellis will be making his NRL debut, becoming the 576th Panther to play first grade. Sione Katoa has replaced Wayde Egan on the reserves in the final 17-man squad announcement. Nick Lui-Toso has also been omitted. Jarome Luai and Jack Hetherington were pruned from the 21-man squad on Saturday.

Prop Ryan James (suspension) is a big loss. Max King will start at prop with Will Matthews returning in the back row, while Jack Stockwell replaces Keegan Hipgrave on the bench. Hipgrave and Tyronne Roberts-Davis were cut from the squad 24 hours before kick-off, Leilani Latu and Ryan Simpkins were omitted an hour before kick-off. Nathan Peats has been named to replace James as skipper.

Gold Coast suffered a late hiccup in the warm-up when Bryce Cartwright and Morgan Boyle accidentally clashed heads during a drill. Boyle has been ruled out of the game Sunday's game, replaced on the bench by Simpkins.

In Trent Barrett's final selection decisions an hour before kick-off, Frank Winterstein and Jonathan Wright were dropped from the Manly bench. Jackson Hastings is out with an Achilles injury and Toafofoa Sipley drops off the extended bench. Tom Trbojevic returns after a week out with an ankle injury. Brad Parker was a very late scratching last week but has been named on the wing. Jack Gosiewski has earned a starting spot.

David Nofoaluma has been recalled on the wing and Corey Thompson will line up at fullback. Alex Twal starts at prop for Russell Packer (knee) with Sauaso Sue joining the bench. Elijah Taylor has still not recovered from a hamstring injury. Tui Lolohea and Chris McQueen were dropped off the extended bench 24 hours prior to kick-off.
