NSW winger Josh Addo-Carr has a new challenge on his hands - to regain the status of being the fastest man in the Origin arena after teammate James Tedesco hit the top speed in Sunday's victory over Queensland.
According to Telstra Tracker data, the Blues fullback hit 36.2km/h as he motored across the ANZ Stadium turf to make his try-saving tackle on Queensland's Kalyn Ponga in the 68th minute.
Addo-Carr was a fraction slower than Tedesco for the quickest sprint of the night after reaching 36.1km/h when he too was chasing down Ponga.
And funnily enough, Ponga came in with the third-highest speed on Sunday night from that very same play at 35km/h, with Blues halfback Nathan Cleary hitting 33.9km/h while attempting to chase down the young Knights star as well.

Maroons winger Dane Gagai took the crown for most sprints during the match with 38, one ahead of Tedesco, with Queensland centre Will Chambers third with 33.
Covering the most distance over the match was Cleary with an impressive 8.6km, ahead of Blues hooker Damien Cook with 8km, with Tedesco and NSW five-eighth James Maloney hitting 7.9km over the 80 minutes.
