Cronulla and Penrith will kick off the second week of the NRL finals with a blockbuster showdown at Allianz Stadium on Friday night.

South Sydney will take on St George Illawarra in the other match at ANZ Stadium after their upset win over the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

Melbourne and the Roosters have progressed directly to week three of the finals after beating the Rabbitohs and Sharks respectively in their qualifying finals.

The Storm will play the winner of the Sharks-Panthers clash at AAMI Park next weekend with the Roosters due to meet whichever team advances from the Rabbitohs-Dragons showdown.
