The Warriors sprung an upset and the Broncos took care of business in the opening round of the Holden NRL Women's Premiership. Ahead of week two, read Tarsha Gale's previews and see who the NRL.com experts are tipping.

Roosters v Broncos

The lack of a trial match preparation for the Roosters going into round one led to a lack of communication across the park. I expect a much-improved team to take the field on Friday, especially with Ruan Sims back from injury. All that being said, Broncos will go into this one as heavy favourites. I rate their spine of Chelsea Baker, Kimiora Nati, Ali Brigginshaw and Brittany Breayley the best in the comp.

Dragons v Warriors

The Dragons will be a stronger and more cohesive side this week with a full game under their belt. They need to be quick with the ball in attack and timing out wide so Honey Hireme can hit the ball at pace. Improvements need to be made with their goal line defence. You cannot afford to concede 30 points in this game. The Warriors are a force and have incredible strength in their forward pack. Even with the loss of Nuuausala, I think the Warriors will win this one.
