Walker backs Reynolds to repeat heroics against Roosters

South Sydney five-eighth Cody Walker is backing teammate Adam Reynolds to repeat his heroics of last weekend if Saturday's preliminary final clash with the Sydney Roosters goes down to the wire.
The Bunnies No.7 proved in the one-point win over the St George Illawarra Dragons last Saturday night that he can be relied on in crucial moments.
Reynolds' stats speak for themselves – he holds top spot for the most field goals this season (5) while sitting behind only Jamayne Isaako and Latrell Mitchell for most points (207). He is also fourth for number of goals kicked (91).
Walker had the best seat in the hose when Reynolds scored all 13 points in the win over the Dragons. He said his halves partner simply needs to keep doing what he has been when the Roosters attempt to deny them a spot in the grand final.
"We've always had a great combination ever since I've come into grade," Walker said.
"He's helped me out so much just in terms of getting us around the park and he's kicking game one of the best in the competition.
Keary and Reynolds repeat history with a twist
"It's up to us to be putting him in positions, to put the ball where he wants it and getting a quick play-the-ball for him to kick.
"He's so composed in that area of his game which make me confident if it's tight we can rely on him under that kind of pressure."
Reynolds said Walker had made significant improvements in his game during the three years they have spent together.
"He's probably had his best year this season - it's his passion and will to win that helps drive all of us," Reynolds said.
"He's just outstanding. Obviously, he's a runner but shows how good a ball-player he is as well.
"I like the fact Cody keeps continually growing his game. He's very vocal at training and that's good for everyone."
Walker said Saturday's grand-final qualifier will be won by the side that dominates possession.
"It's going to be a huge occasion and they'll be well prepared for us," Walker said.
"It will be up to us to put out our best 80-minute performance on Saturday.
"We completed at 70 percent last weekend so that's an area that we really need to improve considering the Roosters complete at an average of around 90 percent.
"If we're giving them that much possession than it's going to be hard to close them out and stop them from scoring."
