Gerard Sutton and Ashley Klein will referee the 2018 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final this Sunday, September 30, between Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm.
NRL Head of Football Brian Canavan said both Sutton and Klein deserved to officiate in the Premiership decider at ANZ Stadium.
"Gerry and Ashley refereed all three State of Origin matches this year and did so exceptionally well," Mr Canavan said.
"They have experience in big games and they also work very well as a partnership.
"They are the best referees for the job and I am very confident that they will officiate the game well on Sunday."
Klein will be refereeing in his first NRL Grand Final, however he officiated in three Super League deciders (2005, 2007 and 2008). Sutton has refereed in three Grand Finals (2014, 2015 and 2017).
NRL Senior Manager Officiating Bernard Sutton said: "The officiating group for the Grand Final have all refereed on the big stage before and I'm certainly confident they will officiate well in the Grand Final."
Additionally, lead referee Adam Cassidy and assist referee Liam Kennedy were appointed to the Intrust Super State Championship Grand Final.
Lead referee Jon Stone and assist referee Kasey Badger were appointed to the Holden Women's Premiership Grand Final.
"All those referees and officials who will be officiating on Grand Final Day should be congratulated on the achievement," Bernard Sutton said.
