Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, today took part in the National Rugby League’s (NRL) In League In Harmony program, as part of their Australian Royal Tour.

The program was hand-selected for The Duke and Duchess to participate in, with members of the NRL, including Chief Executive Todd Greenberg, also attending at Macarthur Girls High School in Western Sydney.

With a focus on respect, responsibility and inclusiveness, the NRL’s In League In Harmony program aims to promote social cohesion and empower young people to be advocates for positive change within their communities.

“It is a great honour for one of our community programs to have been selected by The Duke and Duchess to participate in,” Mr Greenberg said.

“The Duke and Duchess are incredibly active and giving of their time all over the world in encouraging greater respect and inclusiveness amongst communities and our game is grateful that Their Royal Highnesses took time as part of their Royal Tour to meet some of our In League In Harmony participants.

“Sport has a powerful ability to bind cultures, personalities and pursuits together for a common good and there is no better demonstration of this than our In League In Harmony program.”
