1990

Future Kiwis captain Kieran Foran is born in Auckland. Foran starred for Manly from 2009-15, winning a premiership with the club in 2011. Foran joined Parramatta in 2016 and then the Warriors the following season before linking with the Bulldogs in 2018 and then returning to the Sea Eagles in 2021.

2014

Veteran coach Wayne Bennett reaches the impressive milestone of 700 games as coach when the Knights fight back from an 18-0 deficit to defeat Cronulla 31-18 at Remondis Stadium. Sharks captain Paul Gallen suffers a torn biceps muscle, threatening to rule him out for the rest of the season.

2014

Anthony Milford stars with two tries and lays on another two to spearhead the Raiders' 36-20 defeat of the Titans, as Canberra snap a four-game losing streak.

2016

New South Wales avoid a State of Origin series clean sweep when centre Michael Jennings scores a last-ditch try in game three at ANZ Stadium. Captain Paul Gallen kicks the conversion in his final Origin series, as the Blues triumph 18-14.

2019    

Melbourne captain Cameron Smith becomes the first player to achieve the milestone of 400 NRL games as the Storm easily account for Cronulla 40-16 at AAMI Park.
