A quartet of Australian artists have been added to the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final entertainment.

In addition to the performance of the world-renowned OneRepublic, who will be headline the entertainment at ANZ Stadium on October 6:

- Aussie icon Daryl Braithwaite will perform his classic Horses at halftime of the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final

- Christine Anu will perform at halftime of the Holden Women’s Premiership decider

- Up-and-coming Sydney artist Thandi Phoenix will be part of a special collaboration with OneRepublic

- Natalie Bassingthwaighte will sing the Australian National Anthem

“Our Grand Final Day is not solely about the Telstra Premiership decider, and equally our entertainment is not just about one artist,” NRL Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Abdo said.

“It is our biggest event of the year and we will have an entertainment line-up to match the spectacle.

“We have a collection of artists – and exceptional Australian artists at that – who will ensure our supporters are entertained all the way through the afternoon and evening.”

Braithwaite said he was relishing the opportunity to be part of another Grand Final performance.

“Having been a Roosters supporter since moving to Sydney in 1963 with the family, I am thrilled to once again play to the magnificent crowd at the NRL Grand Final,” the iconic singer said.

“Having the opportunity to play there last year was one of the stand out moments of my singing career. I look forward to being a part of the amazing night of football.”

Anu said she was honoured to be able to sing on Grand Final Day – particularly as part of the Holden Women’s Premiership halftime.

"This time of year is always an exciting time for NRL fans and it’s a been a long while since I stepped onto centre stage and being involved in the entertainment on the day,” Anu said. “It is going to be awesome, I can’t wait."

Bassingthwaighte, who is currently performing in the hit musical Chicago in Sydney, said she was relishing the opportunity to return to the NRL decider.

“It has been 14 years since I last performed the National Anthem at the NRL Grand Final,” said Bassingthwaighte, who built a successful solo career after being lead vocalist for Rogue Traders.

“I can’t wait to celebrate the game’s biggest match of the year and feel that adrenaline rush all over again. It is such an honour.”

Phoenix will accompany OneRepublic for a special performance of the song ‘Halo’, which lead singer Ryan Tedder wrote.

“I am honoured to have been asked to perform at this year’s NRL grand final alongside OneRepublic,” Phoenix said. “I’m very excited about this collaboration and to perform at such an iconic Australian sporting event.”

The NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final will also feature the NRL Holden Women’s Premiership Grand Final as well as the Intrust Super State Championship Grand Final.
