The NRL has cancelled the 2020 Cabramatta Nines due to the extreme weather conditions forecast across Sydney tomorrow.

The 18th edition of the International Nines was scheduled to take place at New Era Stadium, with 32 sides taking part in the modified rugby league tournament.

An NRL Spokesperson said: “Whilst I’m sure it’s disappointing for the many teams and players involved, our first and foremost priority will always be the health and safety of our participants.”

“Cabramatta International Nines will be back again in 2021 and we thank everyone for their understanding.”
