NRL Acting CEO Andrew Abdo has congratulated Sydney Roosters player Mitchell Aubusson on reaching the 300-game milestone.

Aubusson will become the 40th player to join the exclusive 300-club on Thursday night when the Roosters face St George Illawarra at WIN Stadium.

Aubusson will become only the third Roosters player to reach the 300-game milestone as a one-club player following Anthony Minichiello (302) and Luke Ricketson (301).

"Mitchell has been an incredibly important player in a remarkable era of success for the Roosters," Mr Abdo said.

"He’s the type of player every teammate wants to have in their team. He leads with his worth ethic, versatility and reliability. To play his entire career at a club as successful as the Roosters says everything about Mitchell’s standing as one of the great ambassadors of the game.

"When he debuted for the Club he played at five-eighth, and has since gone on to play in the centres, the second-row, lock and even hooker, winning three Premierships from four Grand Final appearances.

"As just the 15th player to achieve this wonderful milestone through a career at one Club, Mitchell should be incredibly proud of his achievements."
