The first time the Roosters and Storm met this season, they produced a golden point thriller for the ages.

It's a lofty mark for Thursday night's encounter between the 2018 grand finalists to equal, but their clashes are almost always full of first-class football and wonderful drama. 

It will set the tone for what shapes as an exciting round 14. With the race for finals berths so tight, every game and point is crucial.

Newcastle versus Manly on Sunday is another feature match, with Des Hasler's Sea Eagles determined to rebound from two straight losses.
