Titans prop Sam Lisone has avoided a one-week ban after successfully challenging a dangerous contact charge at the judiciary.

Lisone, who was the ball-carrier at the time, was charged with making contact to the head/neck of Dragons hooker Billy Brittain on Friday night.

The Titans pleaded not guilty and successfully contested the charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night, meaning he is free to play in Saturday's game against Canterbury.

In the only charge from Sunday's matches, Manly prop Taniela Paseka has accepted a $550 fine for a tripping offence.

The grade one charge came from a 38th-minute incident involving Storm player Nicho Hynes.

Cowboys forward Coen Hess has accepted his charge for a crusher tackle and cops a one-match ban for his tackle on Shark Sione Katoa. If he had fought the charge and lost he would have missed two matches.

Newcastle's Pasami Saulo was hit with a dangerous contact charge on Warrior George Jennings and will miss one week after entering an early guilty plea.

The other player charged from Saturday's games was Wests Tigers forward Matt Eisenhuth, who escaped suspension with an early guilty plea to a dangerous contact charge on Moses Leota.

Broncos forward Joe Ofahengaue has taken the early plea for a grade one dangerous contact charge arising from a 14th-minute incident involving Roosters hooker Jake Friend.

Ofahengaue, like Lisone, would have avoided suspension with an early guilty plea if not for prior offences within the last two years.

Dragons forward Jacob Host is another to have avoided a ban by entering an early guilty plea to a grade one dangerous contact charge.

Eels prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard also dodged a one-match ban with an early plea after being charged for a dangerous throw.

The former NSW and Australian representative was handed a grade-one offence for a 17th-minute tackle on Rabbitohs centre Campbell Graham.
